Cows feel more comfortable in the new Feedstation walk-through.
Hanskamp's unique, walk-through feed station, the familiar FeedStation walk-through, has been redesigned and is now even more cow-friendly due to the new T'port, among other things.
In many other feeding stations the cow has to leave backwards so is frequently pushed away by other cows. Often resulting in injury to legs and udders. Also the hoof claws are often put under unnecessary stress when the cow tries to turn when making an exit.
The FeedStation walk-through lets the cow exit by the front. This means that not only can she protect herself with her head, but both feet and legs are less stressed. An added benefit is that cows lower in rank feel safer. The moment the FeedStation is closed the cow can eat her concentrates in peace.
The new walk-through feed station by Hanskamp for optimum cow traffic, better protection during feeding, and increased peace and cow comfort in the shed. Cows feel more comfortable in a FeedStation walk-through.
One new addition is the T'port, the gate that closes off the exit (the front of the feed station). The T'port consists of two sleek gates which open to the front. The modification keeps the cows in the shed calmer, as the T'port closes immediately after a feeding cow exits it. The T'port is also closed along the bottom, preventing cows outside the feed station from disturbing the cow inside. Just as before, the T'port uses a pneumatic system with an anti-crush safety system to prevent it injuring cows.
The frame has been raised by 7 cm, allowing cows to enter the FeedStation more easily. The modification fits the goal of making the cow feel completely at home in the feed station. Together with the walk-through capability and the open design, this makes the feed station even more accessible for all cows.
Time can be saved during installation. The new feeding station is mounted using the supplied nuts and bolts instead of clamps. This results in only having to tighten 8 bolts instead of 32.
The FeedStation walk-through delivers with one PipeFeeder, an two PipeFeeders are optional. Also liquid feeding with a MultiDos or PowerSpray is possible.
